Total production is estimated at 55 million dollars. According to the data in the report; In the first two months of 2022, domestic sales increased by 23 percent compared to the previous year and reached 40 million dollars. In the period covered by the report, imports increased by 13 percent compared to the previous year and amounted to 8 million dollars.

Russia took place on the top in exports

Turkey made the most exports to Russia in the January-February period of 2022. In the mentioned period, the amount of exports made by the WM sector to Russia’s was 1.6 million dollars. Iraq followed Russia with 1.4 million dollars and Paraguay with 1.4 million dollars, respectively. Other export countries were Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Egypt, Kosovo, Spain and Tunisia.

The ratio of exports to imports is 286 percent

When the exported product groups were examined, it was seen that the machines in the others category were exported the most with a 29 percent share in the first two months of 2022. This was followed by sawing machines with a share of 26 percent and various bending and joining machines with 13 percent. In the same period, the least exports were made in splitting, machines. Most imports were made from China

In the first two months of the year, the Turkish woodworking machinery industry made the most imports from China with 4.8 million dollars.
